Calls for Artists

Call for Artists: 3D and Sculptural Art for SRAC's Corporate Arts Program

Snake On Wheels by Ken Richardson from Metamorphosis 2017

The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is looking for 3D and sculpture artists to submit their work to be part of the Corporate Art Program: Structure Gallery. Artworks of interest include but are not limited to: glass, ceramics, metals, wood, and mixed media which can be functional or fine art decorative pieces.

Open Artist Contest at The Gillioz

The Gillioz invites you to come and explore the rich architecture and design of the historic Gillioz theatre for the Fall 2018 Open Artist Competition! From the ceilings to the carpet you can find inspiration in every corner of the building. That is why we have decided not to accept any art inspired by the chandelier or the marquee this time around. Although these are two of our proudest focal points, we want to encourage our local artists to dig deeper and discover elements in the building that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Call for Teaching Artists: Summer Workshop

The Springfield Regional Arts Council is seeking arts educators to help with summer programming in conjunction with the Springfield Greene County Park Board. The educator will work with elementary-aged students for two hours a day, and needs to come prepared with project ideas and supplies.

This is an indoor/outdoor park program, during July 16 - 20th, for a total of 10 hours that week.

Call for Artists: "Art and Fear"

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is accepting entries from all across the United States for our annual national juried exhibition. "Art and Fear" beckons artists to submit work that explores their own feelings about fear, anxiety, and phobias. Fear is a fluctuating entity, and can mean different things to different people. Your entries may be personal and thought-provoking, or they can be laughable and fun! The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri encourages the exploration and interpretation of this idea in a way that is unique to you.
