Hosted by Music Director, Ron Spigelman, the program takes place on the Thursday before each concert, in the relaxed and informal surroundings of the store’s café. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a meet and greet - which is greatly enhanced by free coffee generously provided by Borders - followed by a preview of the upcoming concert; including fun facts about the featured composers and their works, musical anecdotes and excerpts, and on many occasions, a live performance. The program is generally about 45 minutes in length, including time for question and answer, and whenever possible, Spigelman is joined by either the guest artist, or a member of the orchestra.
This popular series is free and open to all, and anyone attending is eligible for a generous in-store discount on Borders merchandise on the evening of the event – please see store staff for details.
