Former mansion of Waite and Genevieve Phillips of Phillips 66 from 1927 to 1938, The Philbrook Museum of Art is Tulsa’s Crown Jewel and Oklahoma’s leading privately-supported art museum. After a dutch-treat lunch in the museum’s wonderful La Villa Restaurant, we shall tour the three levels of the museum. The main level displays European Art of the 18th and 19th centuries, early Tuscan painting, Venetian paintings of the 15th and 16th centuries and High Renaissance and Baroque Paintings of the 16th through 18th centuries. The Upper Level houses Asian ceramics and paintings, the American collections featuring 19th century landscape paintings, 20th century and contemporary works, contemporary craft media, sculpture and decorative arts. The Lower Level highlights the museum’s extensive African and Native American collections. Additionally, there are 23 acres of formal gardens, natural woods and sweeping lawns to enjoy and a wonderful gift shop.

This tour will leave The Creamery Arts Center at 8:00 A.M. and return at 9:00 P.M. A mid-way return dinner stop will be observed. The cost for this tour will be $60 including round-trip transportation, an early morning coffee reception at 7:30 A.M. in the Arts Council offices with Champagne, nuts and chocolates on the return trip.
