On July 24, the group's featured speaker will be Dr. William J. Burling, professor of English at MSU. He will speak on how the Science Fiction genre of writing has changed markedly since the 1950s and 60s era of Asimov, Heinlien and Clarke.
The third Thursday of each month (July 17)is always devoted to writing impromptu "excercises" and the first Thursday of each month, writers may bring up to three double-spaced typed pages to read aloud for "gentle feedback".
The Creamery Writers' Workshop meets every Thursday night in the Creamery and is free and open to all writers regardless of genre or age.
