The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is pleased to accept nominations for the 2018 Ozzie Awards through Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Winners will be honored at the 9th annual Flights of Fancy, Southwest Missouri’s most celebrated arts gala of the year, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Springfield-Branson National Airport.

Nominate Online!

Nominate those you know have embodied the pioneering, creative spirit of the Southwest Missouri arts scene. Nominations can be made online, by mail, or in person at the SRAC office located in The Creamery Arts Center, 411 North Sherman Parkway, Springfield, MO 65802. All information regarding nominations is confidential.

An ideal Ozzie Award candidate exhibits an extended service in promoting the arts, a broad spectrum of involvement in the arts, support above and beyond professional responsibilities, and should be a catalyst for the growth of the arts in the Ozarks. A Legacy Award is traditionally offered posthumously to an individual who demonstrated the qualities of an Ozzie Award winner in their lifetime.

First awarded in 1985, the Ozzie Awards are given each year to individuals, organizations, and businesses which have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the arts in Southwest Missouri. A public call for nominations is announced and a selection committee chooses those which best support or personify artistic achievement.
