Learn to love the skin you're in with SLT's Freckleface Strawberry

SLT's Freckleface Strawberry opens April 27

The Springfield Little Theatre (SLT) proudly presents Freckleface Strawberry The Musical at the historic Landers Theatre from Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, May 7, 2017.

Strawberry will do anything to get rid of her freckles – from scrubbing them with soap to caking on makeup and even wearing a ski mask to school!  With the help of her loveable schoolmates, including an amazingly talented ballerina, a cute jock, a charming ditz, and a totally kooky teacher, Strawberry learns that everyone is different, and that’s what makes everyone special.

Based on the beloved New York Times best-selling book by celebrated actress Julianne Moore, Freckleface Strawberry is a fun and touching musical with lovable characters, soaring music, and exciting choreography. Audiences can step inside the book’s pages and learn to love the skin they’re in!

The show is co-directed by Zoe Zelonky and Clayton Avery. Zelonky also serves as choreographer and Avery also serves as music director. Katie Harmon stars as Strawberry; supporting cast members include Andrew Wilson, Haley Wolff, Clayton Cox, Mitch Johnson, Micah Williams, Ellie Douglas, and many others.

Freckleface Strawberry The Musical is rated G. Tickets range in price from $12-$19; group pricing is available for parties of 10 or more. Visit SpringfieldLittleTheatre.org to purchase your tickets and select your seats 24/7.

SLT offers birthday parties during the run of the show. Treat your birthday child and up to 11 of their friends to a party at the Landers featuring costumed characters, cake, punch, prizes, gift bags, games, and even a party host and photographer. Then enjoy the performance at a highly discounted rate.

Enjoy a Backstage Pass Tour before the performance on Sunday, April 30 for $8; pre-registration is required at the time of your ticket purchase. Observe company warm-ups prior to the show, take a guided backstage tour, and receive a signed poster and photo with the cast.

Final Fridays Improv Night takes place on Friday, May 5 following the performance; admission is “pay what you can.” SLT’s Teen Players present this hilarious program to raise funds for an educational trip to New York City.

The Landers Theatre is located in downtown Springfield at 311 East Walnut Street.
