Cramer departs SRAC to pursue painting; SRAC seeks applicants

Stephanie Cramer, Quench

Stephanie Cramer, Director of Programs and Exhibitions, will leave the SRAC July 28 to pursue her expanding art career and to spend more time with her family.

In the nine and a half years that Stephanie has been with the SRAC, she has accomplished a great deal. She expanded the curriculum of the organization’s long running Arts in the Park Summer Workshop program, serving at-risk youth in Zone 2. Her leadership has also brought growth to the partnership between the arts and the Springfield Public Schools International Baccalaureate programs and new exhibition spaces throughout the community. Stephanie’s passion for supporting future leaders was evident in the expanded internship and mentorship programs. Perhaps the biggest impact Stephanie has made is in her work to encourage, promote, and advocate for local artists at all levels.

“In my position, I’ve focused on promoting the arts and encouraging everyone. This is not and should not be an exclusive club,” says Stephanie. “I’ve loved being at the hub of the arts activity for our community and working with so many great partners. In the nine years I’ve had the pleasure of working with the SRAC, there has never been a boring moment.”

The SRAC will immediately begin the search to fill the position of Director of Programs and Exhibitions. Qualified applicants should email a cover letter explaining interest in and qualifications for the position along with a resume by Monday, July 17 to Leslie Forrester, Executive Director, at LeslieF@SpringfieldArts.org.
