What do visual artists envision when they hear music that strikes a chord in their heart? For the August exhibit, "Music to My Eyes," the Springfield Regional Arts Council encourages local artists to compose a piece of original art inspired by what moves them musically.

Live music will work in harmony with the displayed pieces during the First Friday Opening Reception on August 4, 2017, from 5pm to 8pm. This event is free and open to the public.

"The relationship between the arts, and how they inspire each other, is fascinating," Stephanie Cramer, Director of Programs and Exhibitions, says. "The Arts Council anticipates a moving show with an exciting opening."

Artists may submit up to three works of any medium for consideration on July 26 & 27, between 9am and 5pm at The Creamery Arts Center. Pieces must measure no more than 48" on any side, and be wired prior to drop off. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted. The SRAC will receive a 25% commission on all works sold.
