Jordan Valley Jazz Band
The Jordan Valley Jazz Band will start up again on Thursday, September 11!
Jordan Valley Jazz Band if free for students with a $5 membership to the Arts Council. As a player in the JVJB, you will continue and grow your abilities through the Art of Jazz. It also is designed to raise awareness and appreciation in the region, especially youth, of this great American art form.
Auditions will be inclusive as possible, for up to 20 members, for the following instruments: trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, bass, drums and guitar. Additional instruments will be considered.

Tuesdays: JVJB are invited to play with Little Hoover's Big Band at Hoover Music Academy on Jefferson Ave. across from Hoover Music Company- 7 - 10 PM

Directing the band is trombonist, Tom Rastorfer. Rastorfer gained experience working for Jamey Aebersolds' jazz workshops and was on Aeborsolds's full-time staff. Rastorfer performs professionally in Branson and has also performed with Glen Campbell, Andy Williams and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.
Jordan Valley Jazz Band is a program of the Springfield Regional Arts Council and is sponsored by Hoover Music Company with additional funding provided by Missouri Arts Council and the U.S. Department of Education.
