Overview of Educational Programs
We have many opportunities throughout the year in which artists and art educators can share their expertise and experience with the students in our programs. Below is a list of those programs.
Arts Educational Outreach – A chance to work with large groups of students in their schools on more in depth projects lasting several days. September–May (school year)
Local and regional schools
Arts in the Park – 12 week visual and performing arts summer camp. Two weeks of visual arts programming conducted by the SRAC.
June-August
Creamery Arts Center Birthday Parties – A party that will include an art lesson and a hands on activity. Year round
C.L.I.C.K/Friday Clubs – An after school program in partnership with the Park Board in the public schools. October – May
Festival of Lights hands on holiday activities – A program that allows all ages to create holiday inspired art. Two days in early December
First Night Springfield – A New Year’s Eve celebration with hands on activities for children. December 31
Weekend/Night/Summer Workshops – Art classes that would extend over several weeks in various mediums. Year round
