A Drury music professor has once again received statewide and national honors for his original compositions. Dr. Carlyle Sharpe was recently announced as winner of both the 2018 Missouri Composers Project competition and an ASCAP Plus Award.
Visual Arts Alliance of Springfield (VAAS) has been invited to display artwork at The Springfield Nature Centers’ show, "The Art of Nature," which is currently showing, and running until April 30, 2018.

The Springfield Symphony, Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra, and Drury University will host their second annual conducting workshop on February 23-24, 2018 in Drury University’s Clara Thompson Hall designed to provide aspiring conductors the opportunity to work with a professional chamber ensemble of Springfield Symphony musicians in a nurturing environment.
The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is looking for 3D and sculpture artists to submit their work to be part of the Corporate Art Program: Structure Gallery. Artworks of interest include but are not limited to: glass, ceramics, metals, wood, and mixed media which can be functional or fine art decorative pieces.
November 29, 2017 - The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) awards $19,000 in Arts and Culture Grants to 15 area nonprofit organizations. The recipients will be recognized in a public presentation December 1 at The Creamery Arts Center to kick off First Friday Art Walk (FFAW) before The Creamery's opening of "$100 and Under" (5-8pm).
