Final weekend for ART OF MURDER; audition call for TINTYPES at the Vandivort

The Box Office is open this week, Tuesday-Friday 12-5 PM, Saturday 3-5 PM, Sunday 12-2 PM and one hour prior to all evening performances.The theatre is located at 305 E. Walnut Street, 4th floor, in downtown Springfield MO. Call 417-831-8001 (out of town 888-452-0930) for tickets or more information. Tickets may be purchased over the phone, using a credit card or in person, at our box office.Volunteer ushers are needed for most performances. Call to sign up a receive complementary seating for that performance. Ushers need to report to the theatre 45 minutes before each performance.

Final weekend for ART OF MURDER

Will Jack, the eccentric painter, kill Vincent, his flamboyant art dealer? Will Annie, Jack’s reluctant wife, help her husband? Or, is something else going on? Try to solve the mystery in ART OF MURDER, by Joe DiPietro, directed by Shawn Teague, featuring Nicole Boldt, David Logan, Dawn McClain and Clancy Parks.

Tickets: Thursday Evenings and Sunday Matinees: $16 Adult, $14 Student/Senior. Friday and Saturday Evenings: $18 Adult,$16 Student/Senior. Group Rates Available for 12 or more. Student Rush Tickets $8 (if seats are available) 30 minutes before each performance, with I.D. All prices include 7.1% sales tax and a $1 theatre renovation fee. A $2 handling charge is added to all mail orders.

Open audition call for the role of Susannah in the musical TINTYPES

Monday, May 12, at 7 PM. Vandivort Center Theatre, 305 E Walnut St, 4th Floor.

Auditioning female African-American, 30-50 year old age range, with strong, uplifting alto range singing voice. This character sings “Nobody,” “Fifty-Fifty,” “Smiles,” “Bill Bailey” and “Electricity” among other songs from the 1895-1918 period. Please prepare a short 16 measure song to sing at the audition.

This summer musical will play at the Vandivort Center Theatre July 3-19. 2008.

TINTYPES tickets go on sale June 3, performances are July 3-5, 10-12, 17-19 at 7:30 PM, July 6 & 13 at 2 PM: $10-$20. All seats are $15 on July 3 & 4 for this red, white and blue American musical.
