Call for Artists - Forsyth Art Guild Judged Fine Art Show

Dates: August 2-15, 2008 Eligibility and Entry:This show is open to artists in Missouri and surrounding states. All work should be original by the submitting artist and completed within the last three years. Pictures are to be framed, have screw eyes and wire, ready to be hung and are not to exceed 72 inches (length+width). Complete an entry form and attach to the back of the picture in the upper left corner. The fee is $10 for a single entry or $15 for two entries. Entries will be recevied at the Guild July 26, 27, and 28 from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Forsyth Art Guild is located at 16000 Highway 160 in Forsyth. The Forsyth Art Guild will exercise all reasonable care in handling the entries. However, the Guild can not assume responsibility for loss or damage by any cause. A 20% commission will be charged on all sales. Submission of an entry to this exhibit constitutes agreement will all conditions set forth herein. Judging and Reception:
This art exhibition will be judged by Dr. Camille Howell Dautrich, visual arts critic for the Springfield News-Leader since 1987. The show will open on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception and the presentation of awards. There will be both monetary and ribbon awards. This display may be seen through August 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday - Saturday. All entries are to remain on display for the duration of the show.
