Vandivort adding a second stage

Vandivort Center Theatre is expanding our production schedule with the addition of Vandivort 2nd Stage, 440 S. Campbell Ave, in downtown Springfield. The theatre space will re-open in August/September 2008 with a variety of productions, produced by the Vandivort. The small house will stage works that may be edgier, may need a more intimate theatre seating (60-85 seats) and may appeal to more specialized audiences.

The details of attractions at V2S will be announced soon.

Ticketing will be handled through the VCTheatre box office, during the day. The V2S will have an open seating policy with night/day of performance tickets being available at the Campbell Ave. location one hour prior to all performances. Evening performances will start at 7:30 PM. Some productions may have Sunday matinee performances starting at 2:00 PM. Convenient free parking can be found all around the theatre, located between W. Elm and W. Pershing Streets (one and a half blocks south of W. Walnut St.)

Vandivort Theatre’s popular “Flex Pass” tickets may also be used at both theatres for the Aug. 2008-July 2009 period.

Watch for more information, as it becomes available, this summer.
