Springfield Shakespeare Festival announces triple attendance in second year

Skinny Improv Creative, Stonegate Creative Group, and UpSide Down Creative Group annouces huge numbers in the 2nd season of The Springfield Shakespeare Festival.
The Springfield Shakespeare Festival presented William Shakespeare's classic A Midsummer Nights Dream was presented at beautiful Jordan Valley Park May 29-June 8 This FREE production saw over 3000 people come out over eight nights. This more than triples the attendance at last years inagural Festival where there was 900 people over 6 nights.
2008 Springfield Shakespeare Festival was presented in part by Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Missouri State University, Arvest Bank, Springfield Regional Arts Council, Liberty Bank, Stonegate Creative Group and The Skinny Improv.
The Springfield Shakespeare Festival is excited to annouce the 2009 Season of Much Ado About Nothing, with the possiblity of adding a second play to the Festival. The dates for the 2009 Springfield Shakespeare Festival will be May 21- June 7, 2009.
The Springfield Shakespeare Festival exists to bring quality, educational, and innovative classic works of theatre to Springfield and the Ozarks. The Springfield Shakespeare Festival will be an annual event held in Jordan Valley Park and will feature works by William Shakespeare and other classic playwrights. Through quality performances and educational outreaches The Springfield Shakespeare Festival will work to compliment the already strong arts community in Springfield. The Springfield Shakespeare Festival is in conjuction with The Skinny Improv and The Swan Repertory Theatre Company that will be offering professional,classical works to Springfield and the Southwest Missouri.
