I come from a very creative family who valued education and service to others. I served as a nurse for 25 years while creating art in many different media part time.
I no longer work in the hospital and now create art full time. I strive to create art that has meaning and purpose. I enjoy creating art that relates to the human condition that has a Christian theme.
Pottery can be very challenging and difficult. I enjoy the challenge and the chemistry and science behind it. I find this media exciting and strive to improve every year by going to seminars and workshops by accomplished artists in Kansas and Missouri.
I live in Marshfield, Missouri with my husband Mark on a rural cattle and sheep farm.
My work reflects the desire to find beauty and peace in the landscape of today. Our world can be a hectic, chaotic place, where we forget to look at the gifts of beauty outside our windows and in our homes. I try to bring that beauty and peace back into focus by painting my Missouri landscapes and people as they relate to home and family stability.
