The Journey Continues: African-American History of Springfield

Adults are invited to attend “The Journey Continues” African-American History of Springfield from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, in the Library Station Frisco Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.

Missouri State University sociology professors Lyle Foster and Tim Knapp will discuss their project, “The Journey Continues,” which examines the experiences of African-Americans living in Springfield. Information gathered from interviews, letters, photos, and other sources provides a new understanding of the African-American history of Springfield.
