Community Language Open House

Speaker and audience in a classroom

Have you always wanted to try a foreign language, but you weren't sure you would be good at it, that you would like it, or if you would like the teacher? Try one for free!

The Foreign Language Institute at Missouri State Univerity's community language open house is the perfect opportunity to see whether their language courses are right for you. Prospective language learners are invited to attend a brief lesson, meet the instructors, and get a taste of what language learning is like. Lessons will be 20 mintues in length to give you the opportunity to try multiple languages. Available languages include: Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, German, Ancient Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, ESL, and ASL.

The open house is free and open to the public. Come alone or bring friends or family to try out one or more languages. Two sessions with lessons from summer camps for children ages 6-9 and 10-14 are also available.
