“Garage” Sale to Fund New Art Center
Hollister, MO—The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will be opening a community art center on historic Downing Street in Hollister this spring. Renovations to the building are expected to begin in February. To raise money to cover remodeling expenses, SMAC is having a sale of garage sale items at 17 Downing Street, Hollister on February 1-2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. “We are taking any clean, gently used donations from those in the community who would like to help,” said Tenille Blair-Neff, SMAC President. Donations may be dropped off Sunday, January 26, from 2-5 p.m.
The new art center will be the first of its kind in Hollister. SMAC hopes it will become an anchor business on Downing Street, drawing the community and tourists, alike.
Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC), a 501C3 non-profit local center of creativity, art education, innovation, and community partnership, strives to improve the quality of life in southern Missouri by connecting individuals with the arts, for the benefit of all.
