Veterans Way Mural in Mt Vernon

The Mt. Vernon Regional Arts Council invites you to a Veterans Day celebration that begins with an Honor Walk starting at 11:45am with a walk to the Veterans Way Mural from First Baptist Church.


11:45 a.m. - Meet @ First Baptist Church,
Walk with Veterans to the Mural

12:05 p.m. - Patriotic Program
• a song by Charles Graham, International recording artist
• Speaker: Dan Fisher, author of the Black Robe Regiment

12:30 p.m. - MEET, GREET & EAT with Veterans and the Community – FREE
• featuring local smoked pulled pork by Pat Elsey, Grilled ribeye sandwiches and hot dogs by the Missouri Cattlemens Assn., also hamburgers donated by the Joplin Regional Stockyards. 

6:00 p.m. - FREE Duke Mason Concert at the MARC


Numerous local churches have volunteered youth to serve the Veterans.

The Freedom Endeavor will be on display in the MARC Gallery starting Nov. 11 through January.
