Applications are now open for Artsfest on Walnut Street, the largest fine arts festival in southwest Missouri. Festival organizers are seeking artists, nonprofits and performers for this year's festival, occurring May 5 and 6. The 2018 festival marks 38 years of strong arts patronage in the Springfield area, supporting artists and art enthusiasts in the Ozarks—and beyond.
Festival organizers seeking artists, nonprofits, performers and food vendors
Applications for artists , nonprofits and performers are now open for this year's festival. Applications will be accepted through February 20, 2018, and food vendor applications will also be available in the upcoming weeks. This year, artists will enjoy a free artist hospitality house, the possibility for more than $5,000 in cash awards and access to more than 20,000 regional art lovers.
"Artsfest wouldn't be what it is today without incredible artists, sponsors, vendors and performers," says Downtown Springfield Association Events Manager Bethany Bell. "We're thrilled that interest in the festival continues to grow each year, creating a memorable experience for patrons with high quality vendors."
Artsfest continues to support local nonprofits
Artsfest is a beloved community tradition drawing more than 20,000 art lovers each year. Proceeds from festival admissions support the Springfield Regional Arts Council, a nonprofit organization supporting some of the most prominent visual, performing, literary and film/media arts organizations within 27 counties in the Ozarks. The festival also supports the Downtown Springfield Association, a community development organization focused on making downtown Springfield a great place to live, work and play.
Event sponsorships now available
Artsfest on Walnut Street is also seeking event sponsors committed to community development. "Artsfest is a great opportunity to get your product or brand in front of more than 20,000 arts enthusiasts," says Bell. Event sponsor packets are available here . Sponsorships will close March 23, 2018.
