The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) strives to transform lives and enrich the community through the arts, and what better way to do so than to bring home a new painting or sculpture at an affordable price? Throughout December, The SRAC will host the exhibit “$100 & Under,” with a market-style art show on opening night. Local and regional artists are encouraged to submit up to 3 pieces of their work priced at $100 or under for this exciting show.
Submitting artists are also invited to have a small table space to sell additional pieces or prints on December 7th at The Creamery, during a one-night art market. “This is our third year hosting this event, and it’s become a night that our artists and patrons look forward to,” says SRAC Executive Director, Leslie Forrester.
Up to three works of any medium and size may be submitted for consideration on November 29 & 30th between 9:00am and 5:00pm at The Creamery Arts Center. All two-dimensional pieces must be wired prior to drop off. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted. The SRAC will receive a 25% commission on all works sold during this exhibit, including pieces sold during the art bazaar.
Artists who wish to have a table at The Creamery’s $100 & Under First Friday Bazaar will need to fill out an online application at: https://tinyurl.com/SRAC100-Under or email Nicole@Springfieldarts.org. Space is limited, and artists will be notified in early November.
