Springfield Contemporary Theatre is excited to announce a new concert series, SCT Sings, helmed by SCT Resident Music Director Alex Huff. These concert events will be held on Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. during the run of an already scheduled main stage production. Each installment in the series will be cast from open auditions, will carry a theme or dedicated composer and will be performed by a cast of 6 to 8 singers backed by a small band. Tickets for each event will go on sale the same day as the tickets for the main stage production surrounding it. Tickets for the series are priced $17 Adult, $15 Seniors/Students, $10 Student Rush.

While his most well-known work is probably is score to the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Anthony Newley crafted some of the greatest melodies of our time. In SCT Sings Anthony Newley, we'll explore his musical theatre endeavors like Stop The World, I Want To Get Off and The Roar Of The Greasepaint, The Smell Of The Crowd in addition to his popular hits like "Goldfinger."

Burt Bacharach may have only written one musical, but his contributions to the popular music genre are unmeasurable. SCT Sings Burt Bacharach will include hits from his musical Promises, Promises and favorites like "That's What Friends Are For", "I Say A Little Prayer" and "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head". This concert is sure to be an audience favorite!
