Waverly House Gallery & Gifts presents "Animal as a Metaphor"

"Animal as Metaphor" a juried show and benefit for A Sporting Chance, with a reception and silent auction at Waverly House Gallery, 2031 S. Waverly, will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 5 - 8 p.m.

Awards were earned by area artists: Judy Ferguson "Best of Show Award", Sherri Davis "Theme Award, Tammy Kirks "Juror's Choice Award" and "Purchase Award" , Carol Snyder "Juror's Choice Award" and Jane Waschick "Juror's Choice Award".

Many regional artists have donated to the silent auction with 100% of the proceeds going to A Sporting Chance, an organization that provides sports opportunities to any person with a disability, abused and neglected children, and at-risk youth.   Included in the donations are paintings, jewelry, glass, pottery, turned wood, and Christmas ornaments. 

The Sho-Me Statesmen Chorus will be performing at this event and Johnny Strickler will be playing jazz guitar.

Waverly House has hosted a benefit for youth charities for over 20 years and has raised over $86,000 from their events.
