Call for artists: Live Art Demonstrators at Artsfest

The Springfield Regional Arts Council is now accepting applications for Live Art demonstrators at Artsfest on Historic Walnut Street. This annual celebration of all things arts, including live music,  artist vendors, live art, kids art station will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 10am-8pm and Sunday, May 7 from 10am-5pm.

Live Art demonstrators will be working in the green space and shade of the Kentwood Green—a live music stage on the west end of festival grounds. Live Art demonstrators have traditionally been painters. This year Artsfest would like to welcome artists in a variety of mediums. Artists will receive a $50 Honorarium for supplies. Artsfest attendees will also be able vote on their favorite piece; the artist with the most votes will receive a $500 award.

All interested applicants are requested to submit a brief artist statement and a few samples of their work to Thomas Cunningham at and Kristin Farr at by Friday, April 21st.
