Storytelling Day with George Washington Carver National Park

George Washington Carver National Monument will still be hosting Storytelling Day 2020 by celebrating it ONLINE!  

Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 22nd! And join us online to celebrate on social media platforms beginning at 11am CT. This event commemorates the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, signed into law on August 26, 1920, which gave women the right to vote. The event also celebrates the 104th anniversary of Founders Day, August 25, 1916 when President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation establishing the National Park Service.

‘Stories with Your Legislators’ June 7 at Midtown Carnegie Branch Library

Children of all ages are invited to attend Stories with Your Legislators at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library Children's Department, 397 E. Central St.

Rep. Crystal Quade will read your favorite stories at storytime!

Discovery Center Springfield Presents: Science Sprouts: Garden Sprouts

Garden Sprouts

Come and learn the science of seeds! Preschoolers will make a seed necklace that they can bury in the dirt at home in a pot or yard that will sprout beautiful flowers or vegetables this spring. Sprouts can also listen to a story read by a Springfield-Greene County Library storytime librarian!
