Instrument Petting Zoo

‘Instrument Petting Zoo’ June 10 at Midtown Carnegie Branch Library

Children in preschool-grade 4 are invited to attend Instrument Petting Zoo at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10, in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library upstairs meeting room, 397 E. Central St.

Local musicians will share their musical talents and knowledge as children experience and explore a variety of musical instruments.

The Choirs of the College of the Ozarks

The Mid-Town Concert Series, a ministry of Central Christian Church, will present the choral ensembles of The College of the Ozarks on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.  The performance will include The Chapel Choir, under the direction of Mr. Gregg Busch, and The Chorale, under the direction of Dr. John Cornish in a concert of a wide variety of styles and genres from the sacred choral music repertoire.

Art in the Park at George Washington Carver National Monument

Celebrating George Washington Carver’s love for art, this event features local artists at work across park grounds. Visitors may participate in hands-on demonstrations and instructional workshops with pastels, natural dyes, pencils, and more. Kids can earn a special “Art in the Park” Junior Range badge. The event is free of charge.
