‘Writer’s Cafe’ Oct. 15 at Midtown Carnegie Branch Library

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to attend Writer’s Cafe from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library Teen Room, 397 E. Central St.

Whether you’re an accomplished writer or just starting out, bring a story idea or poem you’ve been thinking about and get inspiration and support from fellow writers. Snacks will be provided.

‘“Universe of Stories” Creative Writing Workshop’ July 20 at Library Station

Registration is underway for adults to attend “Universe of Stories” Creative Writing Workshop from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, in the Library Station Santa Fe Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.

Want to add your own voice to the “Universe of Stories”? Attend this crash course in storytelling taught by Derek Cowsert, library staff member and Ozarks Technical Community College English instructor, with a focus on short- and long-form fiction, highlighting the differences between the two.
