After 17 years in the radio broadcasting industry, locally for a time at KWTO/Rock 99, I worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as a regional coordinator, then later became a marketing professional in the National Office of the American Cancer Society in Atlanta. While there I created, produced and syndicated Profiles in Survival, a national prime-time television special that featured well known celebrities who had survived cancer. After 12 years with the ACS I returned to the area and founded Hampton Productions, a full-service advertising agency. After devoting nearly every day to commercial graphic design, photography, writing and videography, I enjoy plunging into personal creative projects for a change such as painting, screenwriting and photography to canvas. My portfolio is composed of the latter. I have written five copyrighted, full-feature screenplays, a teleplay pilot and recently published two children's books that are now featured on Amazon. Written for ages 9-12, "Vanny V" is the story of a young vulture with a flying squirrel sidekick who convinces him to become a vegetarian and "Toby" is a large print publication that is geared to helping children deal with loss. Both are richly illustrated by my friend Marta from Poland.
