V. Leigh Carr is a mixed-media artist and oil-pastelist living with her husband and daughter in a wooded corner of the Ozarks, just south of Joplin, Missouri.
She typically works in series related in medium or subject matter, drawing inspiration from her vivid dreams, her faith, and natural surroundings.
"I walk a line between presenting ordinary things in a fantastic way and making the unreal seem tangibly possible. Curiosity and the concept of changing perspective inspire me, whether seeing something everyday literally from a different angle, or catching a glimpse of what it's like to be in someone else's shoes. These things keep us young at heart, invite us to be in the moment, and open up possibilities in our minds."
