Springfield Ballet Presents: Dance Workshop for Boys

These free workshops taught by Associate Artistic Director, Brian Norris, are for young boys looking to try dance or simply increase their flexibility and agility. Participants will learn conditioning exercises to increase balance, coordination agility and overall strength as well as interactive musical theatre, jazz and other choreography.

Musical Theatre & Jazz Master Dance Class

Springfield Dance Alliance is hosting a Musical Theatre and Jazz Master Class taught by guest instructor Darryl Kent Clark. Mr. Clark is currently a professor of Musical Theatre and Dance at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Mr. Clark has both choreographed for and performed with Springfield Dance Alliance. We are so excited to welcome him back to Springfield to teach this spectacular workshop.

Club VanGogh: Maker Edition

‘Club Van Gogh: Maker Edition’ March 5 at Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library

Registration is underway for children in grades 3-6 to attend Club Van Gogh: Maker Edition from 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, 2214 Brentwood Blvd.

This hands-on, STEAM-focused art series will highlight how science, technology, engineering and math are actively involved in artistic creations. This week’s activity is Paper Circuit Art. Materials will be provided. This program is funded by a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.
