‘Wreath Making’ Nov. 23 at Republic Branch Library

Registration is underway for adults to attend Wreath Making from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Republic Branch Library, 921 N. Lindsey Ave.

Prepare for the winter holidays by creating a wreath you can decorate with or give as a gift. Materials will be provided.

Art Exploration for Kids

‘Art Exploration!’ Nov. 9 at Library Station

Families with children of all ages are invited to attend Art Exploration! at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Library Station Story Hour Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.

Join us for a story and art making for the whole family! Work together to create a family masterpiece based on an art style from the featured picture book. Bring your creativity; materials will be provided. This month’s featured titles is “Yayoi Kusama: From Here to Infinity!” illustrated by Ellen Weinstein. Project: Polka Dot Party.

Watercolor Secrets for Beginners

Come join us for a risk-free workshop for those who want to learn about watercolors and the materials needed.  Nothing to buy and nothing to bring except a sack lunch. All materials and studio fees are included in the cost of the workshop. When you leave, you will have a few supplies and a good understanding of how to use them all! 

The workshop will be held on two Saturdays. October 26th and November 9,  from 10-2. The cost is $150 and includes all supplies and studio fees.
