Brick City Gallery hours of operation during the All School Exhibition:
Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Each Spring, the Springfield Art Museum invites student artists from across our community, in Kindergarten through 12th Grade, to exhibit outstanding artwork in the All School Exhibition. A celebration of Youth Art Month, this highly anticipated show has been a staple of our exhibition schedule since 1932, making it our longest running exhibition initiative.
As the art teachers who work with these students know, art is a powerful educational tool. In addition to creativity and self-expression, the arts teach problem solving, critical thinking, innovation and collaboration. The All School Exhibition highlights the importance of arts education and honors the accomplishments of young artists.
The exhibit also reflects the work of the incredibly talented teachers in our community, many of whom are practicing artists themselves. Faculty members from public, private, parochial schools, and home school cooperatives select the artwork for exhibition each year, and a dedicated team of teachers and students from participating schools installs the artwork with assistance from our curatorial staff.
*During the Museum’s Expansion & Renovation Project, the annual All School Exhibition will be located at Missouri State University’s Brick City Gallery facility. See parking map below.
