Call for Artists: Queer Artists Showcase

April 1, 2026
– May 4, 2026

Description

The 8th annual Queer Artists Showcase will take place on June 5th, 2026 (5:00pm – 7:00pm) at The Creamery Arts Center (located at 411 N Sherman Pkwy, Springfield, MO 65802). Each artist will be given a space respective to their type of art to showcase during the event. We hope you’ll apply to be considered!

This will parallel with Springfield Regional Arts Council’s First Friday Art Walk. They will be having SRAC’s 2nd Annual Block Party for an evening of creativity & fun.

You will be responsible for dropping off the pieces at The Creamery. After June, they will be on display at GLO from July till the end of August.

SRAC’s open call show is looking for art that celebrates summer in the Ozarks – weekends at the lakes, hikes in the Ozarkian hills, popsicles at the pool, and more! This open call show is all about celebrating summer fun through art. Something to think about when submitting your work but is not required for our section.

It is not required to be at The Creamery during the event but highly encouraged to be available to discuss your work and be with fellow queer artists. As a thank you to those selected, GLO will pay for a yearlong membership to Springfield Regional Arts Council.

Queer Artist Showcase submission deadline is May 4th
