The Emerging Artist’s exhibition, a juried arts show, will feature up-and-coming contemporary artists from Springfield and the greater community. Contemporary art is art created in the present day, often reflecting the current social, political, and technological issues of the time. This exhibition, in collaboration with the Springfield Regional Arts Council, will be open to the public on February’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, February 6th.
Submission guidelines:
Open to all artists, mediums, and styles.
Limit of three artwork submissions per artist.
All hanging pieces must be wired and ready to hang. No saw-tooth hangers will be accepted.
Artwork cannot weigh more than 50lbs.
All work should be signed and labeled with the title of the work and the artist’s name on the back of the piece for identification purposes
To submit, attach up to 3 digital images (JPGs) of actual works you hope to have selected for the exhibition. Name each JPG with your first initial, last name, and piece title (for example: JSmithTitle.jpg). Please include dimensions, media, size, frame type if applicable, and retail pricing (including 25% SRAC commission) in your email. Send all submissions to [email protected] by December 12th, 2025.

Jury notifications sent to artists by January 5th, 2026. The jury panel will consist of three independent, qualified jurors
Artwork drop-off dates: January 29th, 2026 and January 30th, 2026.
Opening reception: February 6th, 2026
Artwork pick-up dates: February 26th-27th
Location: The Creamery Arts Center in the Board Room Gallery
Artists will be selected for the exhibition by an anonymous jurying process. All submissions will be notified of acceptance or rejection by January 5th, 2026. All participating artists are expected to drop off works on January 29th or January 30th 2026 the Creamery Arts Center.
