The SRAC operations team helps execute the organization’s various events, programs and initiatives. With a passion for the arts, each team member is dedicated to connecting Springfield’s talented creators to the community. Learn more about each team member’s role and background.

Leslie Forrester
Executive Director
Dedicated to building a thriving arts and culture community, Leslie Forrester serves as the Executive Director. She came to this role in 2013 after supporting community arts at the Missouri Arts Council. Leslie holds a BFA from Culver-Stockton College and an MFA from Southern Utah University in Arts Administration.

Sarah Abele
Director of Programs
Sarah brings a rich background in Public Relations and Community Relations to her role. Sarah is instrumental in orchestrating a variety of community-facing arts events and showcases her commitment to enriching the arts scene and fostering educational opportunities in the region.

Nate Black
Operations Coordinator
Nate Black brings a can-do, can-build, can-organize attitude and skill set to his role as Operations Coordinator. A multifaceted creative in his off-hours, Nate is a visual artist, zine maker, woodworker, and Emmy-winning comedy performer with The Mystery Hour. He’s a proud Hillcrest High School grad and lifelong Springfieldian with a passion for creativity and fun.

Claire Utley
Program Manager
A lifelong passion for the arts has led Claire to hold a B.A. in Arts Administration and Fine Arts from Drury University. She works to execute SRAC exhibitions at The Creamery Arts Center, Springfield-Branson National Airport and works to promote the arts in Downtown Springfield businesses, galleries, and restaurants.

Jacinda Warren
Director of Finance & Administration
With over 20 years of bookkeeping experience in for-profit enterprises, she brings her expertise to the Springfield Regional Arts Council to assist the team with critical support in financial matters to help them achieve their mission of transforming lives and enriching the community through the arts.
