After 11 years of leadership, Clarissa French leaves First Friday Artwalk (FFAW) to focus on professional endeavors, as well as to enjoy the arts as a patron. Avery Parrish, Corporate Art Coordinator with the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC), has been named the new FFAW Coordinator.

Adults are invited to attend First Friday Art Walk at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Park Central Branch Library, 128 Park Central Square.
Join us for First Friday Art Walk and the opening of a new exhibit. Learn simple weaving techniques and participate in a community weaving project with Library staff member Whitney Gillenwaters. Materials will be provided. On Display: Wyrd Sisters: Fiber Art by Whitney Gillenwaters.

"White can create a negative space that gives structure and substance to a canvas. Other colors used in secondary roles can do the same. Negative space can be used to elevate starring roles in a story, which is in face what an abstract offering projects.
